Scope

This policy applies only to the Principia launch list, which is the email signup on this website. It does not cover the Principia iOS app, which has its own app privacy policy.

Who we are

The Principia launch list is operated by Taton David from Saint Lucia. Where privacy laws apply, Taton David is the controller for personal data collected through this form.

What we collect

We collect the email address you enter and the required consent value submitted with the form. The consent value records that you checked the box before joining; we do not use it to build a profile.

Netlify, which delivers the site and processes the form, may also process standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and submission timestamp to deliver, secure, and operate the service. We do not use that technical information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.

We do not ask for your name, location, phone number, or app-usage information, and the site contains no advertising or behavioral analytics.

Why we use your email

Your email address is used only to:

• send a single notification when Principia is available on the App Store; and
• confirm or answer a question about your place on the list if you contact us.

We do not use it for a newsletter, general marketing, advertising, profiling, or unrelated messages.

Service provider and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your email for advertising or marketing. The form is processed and stored through Netlify Forms, which handles submissions on our behalf so the form can operate.

Netlify may process information in locations where it or its service providers operate, subject to its privacy terms and applicable safeguards. Review Netlify’s policy for current details about its processing and international transfers.

No email-delivery provider has been selected because the launch notice has not been sent. Before sending it, we will update this notice to name that provider. The provider will receive addresses only to deliver the single notice described here.

Legal basis

Where a legal basis is required, we process your email address on the basis of consent. You give that consent by checking the consent box and submitting the launch-list form. You may withdraw it at any time before the launch notice is sent by contacting us.

Standard technical request information used to deliver and secure the site is processed under our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.

How long we keep it

We retain your email until the first of these events:

• you ask us to remove it;
• Principia launches and the single notice has been sent; or
• we decide not to launch and delete the list.

After the notice is sent, we will remove the address from Netlify Forms, any working export, and the delivery provider’s contact and sent-message records, subject only to the provider’s limited backup, security-log, or legal-retention periods. We will not keep the address for a new purpose without asking you first.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. To leave the launch list or exercise a right, email us from the address you submitted so we can verify the request.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Under the GDPR, where it applies, this is generally one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

The launch list is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit their personal data. If you believe a child joined the list, contact us and we will remove the entry.

Changes to this policy

If this limited purpose or the way we handle the list changes, we will update this policy and its “last updated” date before the relevant change takes effect.
